BLIX is the 4th album by Miss Red, released January 12, 2007 by Tamla Records, and on January 14, 2007 internationally by Kleopatra International. The album according to Miss Red, is a continuation to her debut album "Miss?", her first album to include Spanish tracks. The album is dedicated to Blix Birdsong, a longtime friend of hers.
Background & release[]
In 2003, Miss Red left Epic Records, and signed to the Sunbow Record Corporation sub-label Tamla. She recorded two albums during this time, but this album wasn't finished recording until 2 years after they began recording, in 2006. It was mainly produced by fellow artist Ariana Fenty and S3B, but other producers also helped with the production, and the first version of this album entitled AMERICAN RENAISSANCE was scrapped in September. The album was revised mastered throughout October to December, and was finished in early January. It was preceded by 2 singles, "energy" and "break my soul", released in November 2006, and among the first to be recorded.
It released January 12th in North America. After the international release on the 14th, 700,000 units had been sold.
